EDGE Project

My project was to shadow an occupational therapist at Stonehenge of Cedar City, a clinic that gives temporary as well as permanent care to clients, normally elderly people. The therapist I followed is named Colton Savage who received his masters degree in occupational therapy.I learned about what makes occupational therapy unique, how some of the tools there were used, and the importance of maintaining confidential information. Due to the health insurance portability and accountability act (HIPPA) I couldn't obtain photographs or personal information about any clients at the clinic. Despite that I was allowed to learn about equipment and guidelines in the context of occupational therapy.
